Kolkata, Mar 28 : Bandhan Bank today opened a new branch in Burrabazar, Kolkata, upping its bank branch count to 981. By the end of this month, the Bank plans to open five more branches which will take its branch count to 986.
With a network of 3,014 Doorstep Service Centres that the Bank already has, the total number of banking outlets would be 4,000 by the end of this month. The Bank has its presence across 34 of the 36 states and union territories in India, the bank said in an e-mailed statement to UNI.
By the end of the week, the Bank would have opened eight new branches across Bhuvaneshwar in Odisha, Barasat in Kolkata, Raipur, Gurugram, Lucknow and Varanasi.
Chandra Shekhar Ghosh, MD & CEO, Bandhan said, "To have 4,000 banking outlets in just three and a half years of our existence gives me the confidence that we are well and truly on our path to making banking accessible to all.
All this has been made possible because of the love and confidence that our stakeholders have showered on us over the past years.” By end of March 2019, Bandhan Bank will have 4,000 banking outlets and 480 ATMs. As on December 31, 2018, Bandhan Bank served 1.53 crore customers and, had deposits worth Rs. 34,639 crore and its loan book stood at Rs. 35,599 crore.
