Kolkata, Mar 25: Buddha Air has officially announced its decision to postpone the launch of its Kathmandu - Kolkata flights to May 27.
"The Lok Sabha Election 2019 is scheduled from April 11 to May 19, which coincides with our launch of flights to Kolkata, originally scheduled to be inaugurated on April 15. This will definitely impact our occupancy at the very start of our operations during this period. Therefore Buddha Air has decided to postpone the inauguration flight to Kolkata from Kathmandu to start on May 27,” an Airlines spokesperson on Monday said.
From May 27, Buddha Air will operate three flights weekly between Kathmandu and Kolkata. The flights will be operated every Monday, Wednesday and Friday on its ATR 72-500 aircrafts, which is one of the best aircraft for short-haul routes. (UNI)
