Kolkata, Mar 15 : AirAsia India today announced its network expansion plans by adding a second destination from Mumbai.
The low cost carrier will now connect Kolkata and Mumbai with one daily flight. This will be the second destination AirAsia India will fly to, from Mumbai.
The launch fare for the new connection between Kolkata and Mumbai is Rs 2999. Bookings for the new route opened for sale this morning.
Flights to the new route will commence on April 15. The airline recently introduced eight additional flights to its network and the addition of a new route from Mumbai is a testimony to their promise, ‘Now Everyone Can Fly’.
Speaking about the development, Mr. Sunil Bhaskaran, MD & CEO, said “We recently introduced the first connection between Bengaluru and Mumbai. Kolkata is a key market for AirAsia and this flight will strengthen our operations in East. This new route is a manifestation of our future growth plan in these key and important business markets.”
Effective April 15, AirAsia India will operate daily flights to the new route.
AirAsia India currently has a fleet of 20 aircraft covering 19 destinations across the country. (UNI)
