Hyderabad, Mar 9: Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) has bagged the India’s Best Company Award along with other awards based on its good performance among India’s Government organizations.
America’s leading International Business Consultancy firm “Berkshire Media Private Limited” presented India’s Best Company Award to Company Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) N Sridhar at a grand National function held at Mumbai on Friday, SCCL said in a release here on Saturday. More than 100 representatives from Private and Government sector participated in the event .
Berkshire CEO Hemanth Koushik, Vice President Emily Walsh while presenting the award to Sridhar, said that Singareni has been selected for this award because of the fast growth among the Government organizations and its contribution to the development of the Nation.
Speaking on the occasion, SCCL CMD said that Singareni has a history of 13 decades, it was earlier neglected but after the formation of the New Telangana State with the support and encouragement of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Singareni has turned a new leaf in growth and development.
He said that to fulfill the power needs of the Country and Telangana State, the employees and officials of Singareni would always work with dedication.
When compared to 2014-15, in the financial year 2017-18 there was a growth of 34 per cent in coal transport, 22.9 per cent growth in coal production and 186 per cent growth in profits.
He said the award is dedicated to the collective effort of all Singarenians and Singareni will work in the same fashion in future as well, the release said.
