IndiGo airlines is to have a new Chief Executive Officer in aviation expert Ronojoy Dutta and a Chairman in former SEBI chief M Damodaran.
As part of the airlines international expansion plans, the appointments were announced late on Thursday. Dutta will have a five-year term and the post had been lying vacant since Aditya Ghosh resigned as president in April 2018.
Damodaran will be the new chairman of the board. Dutta is to take over from company co-founder and interim CEO Rahul Bhatia. It was on Wednesday that he announced that the next phase of the low-cost airlines growth would be through international expansion.
