Mumbai, Jan 18: The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Friday fell by 75.96 points in the opening trade to 36,298.12 on brisk selling in Healthcare, FMCG, Teck, Realty IT and Consumer durables stocks.
The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too decline by 23.10 points to 10,882.10. The Sensex registered intra day high and low at 36,469.98 and 36,218.33 respectively.
The Nifty recorded intraday high and low at 10,928.20 and 10,852.20 points respectively. The losers were Sun Pharma by 10.59 pc to Rs 381.90, Bharti Airtel by 5.87 pc to Rs 312.80, Axis Bank by 1,23 pc to Rs 668.00, ITC by 0.99 pc to Rs 291.00 and Tata motors by 0.81 pc to Rs 183.30.
The gainers were Reliance by 1.35 pc to Rs 1149.00, Kotak Bank by 1.18 pc to Rs 1234.50, ONGC by 1.17 pc to Rs 146.80, HCL Tech by 0.80 pc to Rs 962.40 and VEDL by 0.76 pc to Rs 198.80. UNI
