Mumbai, Sep 19: The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Wednesday rebounded by 142 points to 37,432.92 amid firm cues in the Asian markets and a recovery in rupee.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) rose by 48 points to 11,326.65. The sectoral indices like Finance, Realty, Bankex, IT, Technology, FMCG, Health Care and Utilities pushed the sensex up, trader informed.
The Sensex registered intraday high and low at 37,530.63 and 37,295.57 respectively. The Nifty registered intra ay high and low at 11,332.05 and 11,280.25 respectively.
The gainers were Tata Steel by 2.35 pc to Rs 626.85, ONGC by 2.16 pc to Rs 177.10, Coal India by 2.08 pc to Rs 279.15, Hero MotoCorp by 1.62 pc to Rs 3162.10 and Bajaj Auto by 1.62 pc to Rs 2821.
The losers were Wipro by 0.77 pc to Rs 329.95, HDFC Bank by 0.70 pc to Rs 1979.45, Maruti Suzuki by 0.68 pc to Rs 8343.35 and Hind Unilever by 0.57 pc to Rs 1656.60. UNI
