TCS the country’s most valued firm in terms of m-cap, became the second Indian firm to attain market valuation of over Rs 8L Cr following a surge in its market price. At close of trade TCS’s m-cap was Rs 8,01,397.36 Cr on Tuesday.
Earlier on Aug 23, Reliance Industries Limited became the first Indian company to cross the Rs 8L crore m-cap mark.
Shares of TCS ended 1.86% higher at Rs 2093.20 on BSE. The company’s market valuation increased sharply by Rs 14,644.36 Cr to cross Rs 8 L Cr. Earlier, April last, TCS had become the first Indian company to close the trading session with over $100 billion market valuation.
