Low-cost carrier IndiGo on Tuesday announced launch of a four-day anniversary sale with sale fare starting from Rs 1212 effective July 10 to July 13. The airline offers 12 lakh seats across 57 cities on its network to celebrate its 12th anniversary, a press release by the company said. The travel period of the offer starts on July 25,2018 and ends on March 30, 2019. Additionally, customers can also avail 5 per cent cashback up to Rs.500 with a minimum transaction of Rs.3,000 on bookings done via SBI credit card.
The rebate rate can also avail across the 6E network including the international routes, the company said in a statement.
IndiGo Chief Strategy Officer William Boulter said, "IndiGo will turn 12 on August 04, 2018 and to make this occasion more memorable, we are offering 12 lakh seats across our network of 57 cities at special fares. We are delighted to announce this biggest sale of Indian airline seats ever which has begun on Tuesday and will end on July 13, 2018."
According to the carrier, the fares paid for tickets purchased under this offer are non-refundable upon cancellation by the customer. On cancellation, only statutory taxes will be refunded, noted the carrier.
Once the IndiGo announced discount rates, the other airlines also follow suit. Close rival of IndiGo, AirAsia India, is also offering a more discount starting ticket price of Rs.999. Jet Airways is offering a discount of Rs.1,000 on economy class. Tata's Vistara also is offering up to 50 per cent discount on one-way economy class flight tickets on book up to 7 or more days in advance. (UNI)
