In a major development Investigating Officer of Agusta Westland Helicopter deal, under investigation by Enforcement Directorate, has requested that he be removed from his charge.
Sunil Dahiya investigating into India’s biggest defence deal wants to opt out of the investigation as the investigation is not going in the right direction.
ED is currently interrogating Ratul Puri, nephew of MP CM Kamal Nath, who has been sent to its custody till today.
ED had registered a case in the prevention of money laundering in the highly controversial deal, worth around Rs.4000 crores, on the back of a CBI FIR. It is learnt from sources that Dahiya has felt that interrogation was not going in the right direction and conveyed to the authorities that he wants to opt out of the investigation.
According to sources ED is looking into the request of the IO Dahiya.
