Bihar: COVID-19 tally crosses 4000-mark, with 151 fresh cases on Tuesday

Patna, June 02 : With detection of 151 new cases on Tuesday, the tally of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) positive cases surpassed 4000-mark to 4096 in Bihar so far. According to the State Health Department sources, the test report received on Tuesday found 47 new cases. Of these, Siwan reported 11 cases followed by, Madhubani with six, East Champaran, Banka and Kaimur five each, Vaishali three, Jehanabad , Begusarai , and Gaya two each and Muzaffarpur, Bhagalpur, Nalanda , Sitamarhi , Patna and Lakhisarai 1 each.

Earlier in the day, 19 cases were found in Purnea, followed by, Lakhisarai with 18, Araria 12, Madhepura eight ,Bhagalpur seven, Patna, Sheikhpura and Samastipur six each, Kishanganj four, Khagaria and Gaya three each, Supaul, Saran, Begusarai, Gopalganj two each and Buxar, Munger, Sheohar and Jamui with one each. Majority of the infected persons were migrants, according to the sources. (UNI)
