Coronavirus tally reaches 611 in Bihar on Saturday

Patna, May 9 : With 33 new cases reported on Saturday, the total number of coronavirus positive cases increased to 611 in Bihar. Principal Secretary Sanjay Kumar said here that 12 new cases were reported from Begusarai followed by, Rohtas with five, Arwal and Muzaffarpur 3 each, Munger and Nalanda 2 each and Khagaria, Vaishali , Bhojpur, Siwan and Sheikhpura with one each.

Of these, 32 were male and one female was detected with the virus in Rohtas, he informed. Mr Kumar said that in Begusarai a 52-year-old person was found positive at Baliya, another 50- year- old man was found in Chaurahi. Meanwhile, 43,47 ,42 and 30-year-old persons were found at Gadhpura. At Bakhri, 25, 50 and 55-year-old persons were tested positive, while a 20-year-old person in Khodawandpur and 36-year-old youth in Barauni and 58-year-old persons were tested positive at Sahebpur Kamal.

He said that in Rohtas, an 18-year-old boy was tested positive for coronavirus at New Gangoli, 35 and 22 years old persons at Pahleja, a 21-year-old youth in Nokha and a 16-year-old female were found to be suffering from coronavirus in Sasaram of the district. He said that 34 and 36-year-old youth tested positive at Kharagpur in Munger. A 40-year-old person was detected positive at Lasari Agaon in Bhojpur District whereas a 69 year old person tested positive at Rampur in Vaishali. (UNI)
