Patna, May 4: With 6 new coronavirus positive cases coming to light, the number of COVID 19 patients increased to 523 in Bihar so far.Principal health secretary Sanjay Kumar said here today that of the 6 cases, five were reported from Jhanjharpur in Madhubani district and from Sanchari Yogapatti in West Champaran. Of the total cases, four while females and two males. Giving details of Madhubani district, he said two males included an eight year old child and a 40 year old man while the female cases found positive for coronavirus were 12, 16 and 35 years old.
He said a 19-year-old female tested positive at Sanchari Yogapatti in West Champaran district. Their infection trail were being ascertained, he informed. Coronavirus positive cases were spread in 31 districts of Bihar. He said that of the total positive cases, 389 were active cases and have 124 recovered. A total number of 1,423 samples were tested on Sunday whereas 29,254 samples have so far been tested in the state. As of now, Munger with 102 cases is the major hotspot in the state.(UNI)
