Patna, May 1: In a bid to prevent further spread of novel coronavirus, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday issued directions to screen those who would return to the state after relaxation given by the Centre in latest lockdown guidelines.
The Chief Minister during a review meeting here, said that relaxation given by the Centre had increased the possibility of gathering in villages and other parts of the state. It would be better to make arrangements for screening before their arrival, he added.
Chief Minister said that capacity of quarantine centres should also be increased to cater to the needs of large number of people arriving in Bihar from other parts of the country in days ahead. More and more jobs should be created for in rural areas to meet the requirements of the large number of migrant labourers who were facing difficulties in earning their livelihood, he added. (UNI)
