Patna, Apr 3: The centre has sent a fresh list of 394 tabligis to Bihar Government who were present either in Nizamuddin Markaz or were found in the adjoining area. The state government is already locating tabligis who returned to Bihar from markaz in Nizamuddin.
The sleuths of ATS were locating them in the state. State Director General of Police informed that now the search is on for the people whose names where included in the fresh list. He said out of 57 foreigners 35 have been identified of whom 10 where in Bihar. Out of these 10 people nine were kept in Araria and one at Samastipur. Their samples have been taken and sent for examination. He said that 22 foreigners could not be identified and it seems they either did not come to Bihar or might have returned. It may be recalled that so far there are 29 COVID-19 positive patients in the state. COVID 19 has claimed one life in Bihar.
Earlier, Bihar had got a list of 112 tabligis whom the government machinery was trying to locate. Majority of the contact numbers of these people supplied by the centre where either switched off or where providing misleading information. The government was trying to find the last location of these mobile numbers for tracing them. Earlier, 11 tabligis of foreign origin were taken into custody from a mosque under Digha police station area of the state capital on March 11 and their samples where sent for investigation. Meanwhile following instructions of the centre, Noori Mosque in the state capital was shut down and a lock has been put at its main gate.
Md Irshad, the main care taker of the Mosque said that it is the main centre in Bihar which has been closed by the order of the government He said that the entire network in Bihar is operated from this mosque which is the main markaz in the state from where religious activities were carried out throughout the year.
