Patna, Mar 3 : The members of Communist Party of India (ML) created a noisy scene on the issue of farmers and agriculture in Bihar assembly today.
Soon after the Speaker Mr Vijay Kumar Choudhary rejected the adjournment motion moved by Mehboob Alam and Sudama Prasad of CPI(ML) and Md Nawaz Alam took up the proceedings of Zero Hour, Mehboob Alam said that the issue was important in the interest of farmers from whom paddy was not being procured. Mehboob Alam trooped to the well followed by the other two members of his party and demanded from the government to initiate steps in the interest of the farmers.
The Speaker requested the members to resume their seats and raise the matter during the debate on the related budget enlisted during the post lunch session. Intervening into the noise, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Shrawan Kumar said that the members were trying to waste the valuable time of the house which they should avoid in the interest of the common people.
To the request of the Speaker for resuming seats, the members from the well said that they would continue with their agitation till the government made a reply on the issues being raised by them. Following the repeated request of the Speaker, the members resumed their seats. Amid noise the proceedings of all attention was also taken up in the state assembly. (UNI)
