Patna, Oct 24 : In pre-Diwali and pre-Chhath bonanza to its employees, Bihar government on Thursday enhanced Dearness Allowance (DA) by five percent for its employees and pensioners.
Principal Secretary (Cabinet Secretariat department) Dr Deepak Prasad said here that a decision to that effect was taken at a cabinet meeting presided over by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Dr Prasad said that government servants, pensioners and beneficiaries of family pension scheme covered under revised pay scale would get 17 percent of DA instead of earlier 12 percent of DA. The revised DA would come into retrospective effect from July 1, 2019. (UNI)
