Patna, Aug 31: Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Friday sharpened his attack on Nitish government after a contractor was set aflame alive at the residence of a chief engineer in Gopalganj district saying crime and corruption were ruling the roost in Nitish government.

Taking to his official Twitter account to launch a fresh offensive on Nitish government, Mr Yadav said, “It is a unique example of crime and corruption in the country under ‘Dushasani Raj’, where a chief engineer of Nitish Ji demanded bribe of Rs 15 lakh from a contractor at his residence and when the demand was not accepted, the contractor was set fire alive. Has anybody courage, who can ask a question on the incident? It is the worst form of crime and corruption”.

Leader of Opposition said, “The reports of murder, rape and loot are being received in the state in abundance every day and situation has deteriorated to such a low that even a heinous crime has become normal and natural. ‘Babudom’ has become so influential, officers are boldly accepting bribe and commission by carrying ‘rate card’ as they are exercising ‘basic right’ guaranteed to them under a regime of good governance”.UNI
