Patna, Jul 22 : The pre-lunch session of Bihar Assembly was adjourned ahead of its scheduled time today when opposition members created ruckus in the house over mob lynching in Chhapra.
As soon as the house assembled for the day, CPI (ML) member Satyadeo Ram attempted to raise the issue of mob lynching. Speaker Vijay Kumar Chaudhary did not allow it and told member to raise the issue at the time fixed for the purpose and let house take up the question hour notices.
On it, RJD member Lalit Kumar Yadav requested speaker Mr Chaudhary to listen Mr Ram as the issue of mob lynching was very serious. Speaker said if the member understood the seriousness of the matter, it would be appropriate if he raised it at the right time. It was now the time for question hour and it should not be wasted, he added.
RJD member Bhai Birendra said members were participating in proceedings of the house not just to ask questions adding the house should immediately hold discussion on mob lynching as it was a serious matter.
On it, speaker said nobody has ever said members were attending the assembly just to ask questions as discussions were being held on important issues in the house. Discussion was held on law and order for nearly three hours in the house recently, he added. (UNI)
