Four electrocuted, 18 others injured in Bihar

Nawada, Jun 26 : Four people including father and son were killed and 18 others
sustained burn injuries when their bus came in contact with live high voltage electric
wire near Yogia Asthan in Kalna forest under Kawakol police station area in this district

Police said that three people were killed on the spot and 18 others sustained
injuries when the bus came in contact with overhead high voltage electric wire while
bus driver was attempting to give side to an auto rickshaw. Sources said that one more person died during treatment at Nawada Sadar Hospital.

Police said around 60 people from Madpo village in Lalpur Panchayat under Kauakol police station area were on way to Jhamuraj Asthan in Vatia forest of neighbouring Jamui district for performing worship when the mishap took place. Police said the injured had been admitted to Nawada Sadar Hospital where the condition of six of them was serious. Several bus passengers saved their lives by jumping out from the vehicle. The deceased had been identified as Sanjay Sao (45), his son Saurav Kumar (15) and Yugal Rai alias Matar Rai (35). The identity of fourth deceased was yet unknown. (UNI)
