Patna, Jun 6: Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi today said the State was among the best financially managed ones in the country.
Quoting a report of the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), he said Bihar stood first in the list of 18 non-special category states in better financial management. The report was prepared on the basis of performance of states from 2004-05 to 2016-17, he stated.
"The report has been prepared taking into account of four parameters including state revenue and capital expenditure, states' own tax receipt, budgetary and revenue deficit and loans taken by states," Modi Bihar stood first scoring 66.5 of 100 points, while West Bengal was worst with 23.3 points.
Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh were second and third, respectively. Bihar had surpassed developed states like Gujarat, Maharashtra and Haryana, he added.
