Gaya, Apr 11: A joint team of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and district police recovered an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) near polling booth number 9 under Dumaria block area of Gaya district in Aurangabad Lok Sabha constituency.
Gaya senior police superintendent Rajiv Mishra said here that extremists of outlawed CPI (Maoist) had planted IED near the polling booth opened at a school at Anraban Salaiya village under Dumaria block area with an intention to disturb polling process. He said that security forces recovered IED on the basis of specific intelligence input. Mr Mishra said that the process was on to defuse IED. Further investigation was on. (UNI)
