Patna, Apr 6: Mr Nagmani, former union minister who had recently resigned from RLSP, along with his wife Suchitra Sinha, also a former Bihar Minister, joined JD(U) at a simple function organised here today.
Both Mr Nagmani and his wife Ms Sinha joined JD(U) in presence of state party president Vashistha Narain Singh, who welcomed them in the party saying their induction would further strengthen the organisation.
Mr Nagmani said, he and his wife were impressed with performance of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar who had worked hard to put Bihar on fast track of development taking together all sections of the society. Mr Kumar was committed to deprived, backwards and weaker sections of the society, he noted.
"I have joined JD(U) without any condition", Mr Nagmani said and assured that he would work hard to strengthen the party. He also expressed his gratitude to other senior JD(U) leaders including Rajeev Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh and R C P Singh on the occasion.
Mr Nagmani had recently resigned from RLSP following his differences with party chief Upendra Kushwaha. RLSP had taken strong exception to participation of Mr Nagami in a programme of Chief Minister Mr Kumar few weeks back at a time when Mr Kushwaha had accused the CM of trying to finish him politically. Mr Kushwaha had also accused Mr Kumar of creating a situation for his exit from NDA.
