Patna, Jan 7: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today said Mr Narenda Modi will again become Prime Minister as NDA is all set to retain the power at the Centre after Lok Sabha elections this year. Mr Kumar, after 'Lok Samvad' programme organised at his official residence here, told media persons that in his view, Mr Modi will again become Prime Minister as NDA will form the next government at the Centre. Defeat of BJP in recently held assembly elections in three state made no difference and NDA was all set to retain the power, he added.
The Chief Minister, responding to a query on his statement made in 2017 that there was no vacancy for PM in 2019 Lok Sabha elections, said it was true that BJP had suffered defeat in three states including Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh in assembly elections recently but one should understand the fact that difference of vote share between Congress and BJP was very thin. In Madhya Pradesh, BJP had fetched 0.1 per cent more votes than Congress in Madhya Pradesh while in Rajasthan, Congress had bagged only 0.4 per cent more votes than the BJP, he noted.
" In my view, NDA will not face any difficulty in forming next government at the Centre after Lok Sabha elections this year but verdict is in the hands of people and ultimately their decision matters", Mr Kumar said. Narendra Modi government was performing well, he remarked. (UNI)
