Patna, Nov 02: Within six months of his marriage solemnised with much fanfare, Tej Pratap Yadav, elder son of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and former Health Minister has filed a petition in a local family court seeking divorce from his wife Aishwarya.
Yadav, known for his volatile nature, in a surprising decision, filed a petition seeking divorce from his wife Aishwarya, daughter of former minister Chandrika Yadav and grand daughter of former Bihar Chief Minister Daroga Prasad Yadav.
The petition has been filed under section 13 (C) and 1 (A) of Hindu Marriage Act, which has been posted for November 29 for hearing.
The elder son of RJD chief Prasad had made headlines on several occasions for his stand which embarrassed the party leadership.
Reports of differences between Tej Pratap Yadav and his younger brother Tejaswi Prasad Yadav, leader of the opposition in Assembly, had appeared in media earlier but both of them dismissed it saying they were unitedly working to strengthen the party. (UNI)
