Around 1545 hrs on July 2, CISF surveillance and intelligence staff of Guwahati Airport noticed suspicious activities of a foreign national while entering into the terminal building.
The passenger, later identified as Charales Ifeanyi, was intercepted and enquired.
On enquiry, he revealed that he was bound for Delhi via Kolkata by Spicejet flight .
On checking of his Passport, it came to light that the information and details verbally given by passenger mismatched with the passport, the CISF official said.
The Nigerian national along-with his passport was taken to the Bureau of Immigration (BOI) office for verification.
On verifying the passport, BOI officials declared the Passport along with VISA as forged and fake.
On tactfully questioning, the passenger disclosed his original identity as UChenna Gideon Ndubueze, presently residing at Nanda Colony Chhattarpur, New Delhi and further disclosed that he had lost his original passport three years back in Delhi and managed to obtain the existing passport through dubious means.
