Itanagar, Jun 5 : Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Friday called on Governor Brig (Retd) BD Mishra here and apprised him of the state Government's effort in fighting COVID-19.
During their meeting at Raj Bhavan, the Governor expressed his concern over the sudden spike of the number of COVID-19 positive cases in the last few days and discussed measures to be taken for strict adherence to the standard operating procedure (SOP) and protocol against Coronavirus spread. He commended the CM and his team for the anti COVID-19 measures.
Arunachal Pradesh reported 43 COVID-19 cases so far out of these active cases stand at 42 and one recovered. The CM also discussed important matters related to development of the state. Emphasising on strengthening the five pillars for 'Self-reliant India', as mentioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Governor reiterated that the state has advantage of limited population and can go extra step in fully utilising the supply-demand chain. They shared shared ways and means to push forward the developmental projects, especially the cluster farming plans in the state and the road projects, a Raj Bhavan communique said. (UNI)
