APCC takes out flag march

Itanagar, Dec 28 : The Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) took out a flag march with the slogan “Save India- Save Constitution” here on Saturday on the occasion of foundation day of the party. Large number of Congress workers led by senior leader and former APCC president Takam Sanjoy and party vice president Rajen Nani took part in the flag march taken out from the party’s state headquarters to Raj Bhavan here to protest against policies of the BJP Government at the Centre .

The Congress workers staged a sit-in protest near the Raj Bhavan gate where the APCC vice-president and chairman of the flag march organising committee Rajen Nani read out the Preamble of Constitution of India. Later, a one point resolution with a demand for immediate scraping of Citizenship Amendment Act 2019, was submitted to state Governor for his kind intervention and necessary action and also to endorse the memorandum to the President and Prime Minister to safeguard the democratic principles and sanctity of the Constitution.
