New Delhi, Oct 29 : US ambassador to India, Ken Juster, on Tuesday visited Tawang Monastery in Arunachal Pradesh and interacted with monks there.
"Great visit to the Tawang Monastery. Enjoyed meeting Abbot Gyagbung Tulku Rinpoche and other monks, and learning more about this monastery’s important history," Mr Juster tweeted. "It is great to be in Tawang as the Chief Guest for the Tawang Festival," he wrote in another missive.
The US envoy on Monday inaugurated the Tawang Festival in presence of Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Union Minister Kiren Rijiju. During the last few days, Mr Juster has been on a visit to eastern India having been to Darjeeling region in West Bengal and in Sikkim. (UNI)
