Itanagar, Sep 3 : Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Tuesday called on Governor Brig (retd) BD Mishra here, and discussed a wide range of issues including agenda for the ensuing 68th plenary of North Eastern Council (NEC) in Guwahati.
During their meeting at Raj Bhavan, the Governor said that vital issues such as security, road communication, health and education, youth development and employment generating sectors must be taken up on priority.
Issues of skill development, infrastructural development, and law and order in Arunachal Pradesh need to be attended to on priority, he stated.
They also discussed on befitting celebration of the 150th birth anniversary of Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi.
The Governor also shared his observations during his tour to Vijoynagar, Miao, Jairampur, Nampong and Pangsau Pass in Changlang district with the CM.
He reiterated on expediting the Miao-Vijaynagar road and the early inauguration of the trade and commerce activities at Indo-Myanmar haats at Pangsau Pass for the welfare of the people of the state.
Earlier, chief engineer, Project Arunant, Naharlagun Brig AS Chonker, VSM, gave a detailed presentation to the Governor and CM. Himanshu Gupta, Secretary Planning was also present in the meeting. (UNI)
