Arunachal: Vehicle set on fire in front of BJP MP Tapir Gao’s residence, FIR registered

Itanagar, May 31 : A vehicle was set on fire in front of the residence of  Arunachal BJP MP Tapir Gao by miscreants here on Friday early morning.“This morning we received information that someone has set fire to a WagonR in front of the residence of BJP state president and MP Tapir Gao.

We went there and saw that one white Wagon R was burnt in front of the gate. There was security personnel inside as soon as they came, they ran away,” SP Capital Complex Tume Ammo said.

As per the FIR, a case of arson and for killing a dog was registered, he stated.“We are working, we will catch the miscreants soon,” the SP said.The BJP president was not at his home when the incident happened.Earlier in the day, Mr Gao’s wife has filed a complaint with the police narrating about the incident.

In the complaint letter, she stated that three persons came in two vehicles early in the morning around 0610 hrs, and they set one vehicle on fire and also killed a dog in front of the resident.

Meanwhile, the Arunachal Pradesh unit of the BJP has condemned the incident.“BJP Arunachal Pradesh strongly condemns the dastardly act of the miscreants who burnt one vehicle and slaughtered a dog in front of residence of party’s state president Tapir Gao,” the party said in a statement.The party also appealed to the administration to take stringent action against the criminal elements and give them exemplary punishment.“In a civilised society, there is no room for such lumpen elements and the authority should not let few criminals usurp the peace and tranquillity of the society. The rule of law much prevails and any breach of law and order should be dealt with iron hands,” it said.The party also appealed to all its workers to maintain peace and dignity at all time. (UNI)
