Thunderstorm- lightning likely in North Coastal AP in 5 days: Met

Hyderabad, May 12 : Thunderstorms with lightning are likely to occur at isolated places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next five days, Meteorological Centre said on Tuesday. In a bulletin here, it also said that thunderstorms accompanied with lightning are likely to occur at isolated places in Telangana during the next 24 hours and on May 14, 15 and 16.

Further, it also said that thunderstorm and lightning is likely to occur at isolated places in South Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next 24 hours and on May 14 and 15. Light to moderate rain or thunder showers are likely to occur at isolated places in Telangana and North Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next five days.

Maximum temperatures are likely to be around 40 degree celsius to 43 degree celsius at isolated places in Telangana and Rayalaseema during the next 48 hours.

Rainfall occurred at isolated places in Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam and Rayalaseema during the last 24 hours. The highest maximum temperature of 42.5 degree Celsius was recorded at Medak in Telangana and 40 degrees Celsius at Kadapa and Nandyal in Andhra Pradesh during the same period , the bulletin added.
