33 COVID-19 cases reported in AP, 1 dies in last 24 hrs

Vijayawada, May 12 : The Coronavirus positive cases in Andhra Pradesh was gradually on the decline as only 33 fresh cases have been reported during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 2051 in the state. According to a health bulletin here on Tuesday, 33 fresh cases have been reported from 9 am on Monday to 9 am this morning.

Of the 33 new positive cases, 10 cases were reported in Chittoor, 9 each in Kurnool and Nellore districts, 4 in Krishna district and one in East Godavari district. No case has been reported in 8 districts of the state since the 24 hours. The highest number of positive cases were reported in Kurnool (584), Guntur (387) and Krishna (346) in the state. The positive cases are decreasing in the state as 54 positive cases were reported on May 8, 43 cases on May 9, 50 cases on May 10, 38 cases on May 11 and 33 cases since the last 24 hours. One person died of Coronavirus disease in Krishna district on Monday.

With this, the death toll has gone up to 46. As many as 1,056 patients have been discharged from hospitals so far as they have completely recovered from the disease while 949 are undergoing treatment in different hospitals. (UNI)
