COVID-19 positive cases crosses 2000 mark in AP, 38 fresh cases reported

Vijayawada, May 11 : Though the Coronavirus positive cases are gradually coming down in Andhra Pradesh, 38 new cases have been reported during the last 24 hours taking the total cases to 2,018 in the state. A health bulletin here on Monday said no death due to COVID-19 has been reported from any district in the state during the period. The good sign is that the positive cases have shown downtrend in the State.

On May 8, 54 positive cases were reported, 43 cases on May 9, 50 cases on May 10 and 38 cases since the last 24 hours. Out of the 38 fresh cases, 9 cases each were reported in Chittoor and Kurnool districts, 8 in Anantapur district, 5 in Guntur district, 3 each in Krishna and Visakhapatnam districts and one in Nellore district. The death toll remains at 45, the bulletin said.

So far 998 Coronavirus patients have been discharged from hospitals as they have recovered while 975 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals. Of the 2,018 total positive cases, 1304 positive cases were reported in three districts Kurnool (575), Guntur (387) and Krishna (342). (UNI)
