Ongole, Feb 8 : As many as seven persons, including some students were injured when a school bus overturned at Potlapadu village in Kurichedu mandal in Prakasam district on Saturday.
Police said that a private school, located in Narasaraopet in Guntur district, was taking some students and their parents to the Bhairavakona area for excursion.
The bus driver while trying to avoid hitting an auto rickshaw lost control of the bus, resulting in the bus veered off the road and overturned in the field. Nearby farmers broke over the windscreens and extricated the victims from the bus.
Seven persons suffered bleeding injuries in the accident while another 20 persons, including some students, suffered minor injuries. They were shifted to the government hospital in Narasaraopet. (UNI)
