Amaravati, Nov 23: Former chief minister and Telugu Desam party national president N Chandrababu Naidu thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Minister for State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy for their action in publishing corrected version of political map of India, mentioning the name of Andhra Pradesh capital city Amaravati.
In a letter to Amit Shah, which was released to media here on Saturday, Chandrababu Naidu said that the name of AP capital Amaravati was found missing in the political map of India, published by the Survey of India. The TDP MPs brought the error to the notice of Minister of Home Affairs in the Parliament on November 21. The Union Home Minister took expeditious action and corrected the error.
“I, personally, on behalf of the people of AP and Telugu Desam party, thanks Amit Shah, Narendra Modi and G Kishan Reddy for immediately publishing the corrected version of political map of India”, he said in the letter. (UNI)
