Srikakulam, Nov 6 : All arrangements have been completed for Army recruitment Rally scheduled to be held here from Wednesday night.
District Collector J Nivas supervised the arrangements at Arts college ground on Wednesday. Stating that about 49,000 candidates had applied online, Mr Nivas said the recruitment process will begin from tonight and the necessary infrastructure for this was provided.
He said that the track required for the run by the candidates has been set up and provided with necessary lighting, drinking water facilities and toilet facilities.
Candidates will reach Kodi Ramamurthy Stadium in Srikakulam and complete their registration based on their call letter, he said.
“We have arranged 16 compartments for candidates to wait at the stadium”, the Collector said and added that 200 policemen along with Army officials will take control of the process.
Army Recruiting Officer Col Bhupinder Singh said that the candidates who have taken drug recruitment process would be banned at all rallies of Army recruits. Yanam district candidates from Pondicherry state are also participating in the recruitment process, besides six districts from Srikakulam to Krishna.
He said that the deadline to apply was October 22 and the call letters have been issued to candidates from October 23. Candidates are requested to comply with the date and time clearly stated in the call letters. He urged the candidates to recognize that the recruitment process was completely transparent and not to believe the words of middlemen. He said about 15 Army officers and 150 Army personnel were involved in the recruitment process.
Candidates will be checked biometric at the time of admission. There are between 250 and 300 candidates in each batch. We will complete the process for 4,000 candidates per day, Mr Nivas said. (UNI)
