Vijayawada, Oct 7: Justice Jitendra Kumar Maheshwari was sworn-in as the first Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh High Court by Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan here on Monday.
At a function held in Tummalapalli Kalakshetram, the Governor administered the oath of office and secrecy to Justice Maheswari.
Justice Maheshwari is the first Chief Justice of High Court of residuary AP State. Earlier, Justice Pravin Kumar worked as in-charge Chief Justice of High Court.
Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, Chief Secretary L V Subramanyam and a host of Judges were among those who are present. (UNI)
