Hyderabad, Sep 23 : Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and AP State Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy on Monday evening decided to inter link waters of river Godavari and Krishna with less land acquisition and losses.
Both the chief ministers held a lengthy discussion on linking Godavari water to Krishna River and other important issues pertaining to both the States at Pragathi Bhavan here.
Both the CMs discussed from where Godavari waters can be linked to the Krishna and at what alignment. They both have decided the linkage of water and utilisation of water should be useful for both the States’ purposes.
KCR and Jagan have decided to have a give and take approach regarding common issues of both the states. KCR has requested his AP Counterpart Jagan to train 4000 police recruitees of the Telangana State in AP as the Telangana state is recruiting 18,000 police personnel at a time. For this, AP CM responded positively.
By giving all the police recruitees training at one go, they will be able to be posted at once. Both the CMs also have discussed several other issues pertaining to both the Telugu States. (UNI)
