Hyderabad, Sept 21 : Former Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Member of Parliament Naramalli Sivaprasad, who is suffering from Kidney ailment and admitted to Apollo Hospital in Chennai, passed away while undergoing treatment on Saturday.
Sivaprasad was elected as MP twice from Chittoor Lok Sabha Constituency in Andhra Pradesh. Sivaprasad, who was suffering from Kidney ailment since a couple of months, was earlier admitted in Chittoor hospital a week ago.
The 68-year-old Sivaprasad was elected to the Lok Sabha in 2009 and 2014. He was defeated by YSRCP candidate N Reddeppa from Chittoor Lok Sabha Constituency in the election held this year. He dressed himself up in many roles protesting against the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.
He was also one of the MPs suspended for protesting in Lok Sabha against bifurcation of the state.
He also protested by dressing himself as B. R. Ambedkar by demanding special status for Andhra Pradesh. Sivaprasad had worked in films like Pilla Zamindar, Aatadista and among others. (UNI)
