Tirumala, Aug 2: The Annual Brahmotsavam of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) will be observed from September 30 to October 8, its Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal here on Friday.
Speaking to media persons after the Dial your EO programme at Annamaiah Bhavan, Singhal said Dhwajarohanam will be held on September 30, Garuda Seva on October 4, Rathotsavam on October 7 and Chakrasnanam on October 8. He said the important events like Annual Pavithrotsavam will be observed here from August 11 to 13,
Varalakshmi Vratam at Tiruchanoor on August 9, Sravana Pournami Managudi from August 9 to 15 in the selected temples in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
The EO also said, a trial-run of jute bags to carry laddus was held and and has received good response from the pilgrims. The Jute Board or the Jute Corporation of India are ready to commence the sale of jute bags from the third week of August in Tirumala, he added. He said this year, the month of July bettered the figures of darshan, Accommodation, distribution of Laddus, Annaprasadam, Kalyanakatta and Hundi Collection than the previous year's record. (UNI)
