Fraudster who duped people over antique vessel nabbed in Andhra

Kakinada, Jul 31 : Sarpavaram police have nabbed a fraudster who reportedly cheated fifteen people to the tune of Rs 30 lakhs offering them to pay 200 times more money saying that he was having antique Iridium copper vessel and by exporting it get Rs 500 crores shortly.He also introduced himself to the gullible public as Sardar Hussain alias Sivaji of Peddada village and National convenor of Human Rights Protection Council of India.

He also showed them fake documents that Archeology Department, Government of India has certified that the Iridium copper vessel was 230 years old and agreement has arrived at with Pradeep Rao of Bangalore to export it through International Atomic Energy Agency.He also offered them to pay Rs 10 crores each if they paid Rs 5 lakhs in advance to him.

Entire fraud came to light when one of the victims lodged a complaint to police that he was cheated and when insisted for repayment, he was threatened with a knife by the accused.The Sarpavaram police who arrested the accused identified him as Aduri Harimohan (31) of Eluru who studied up to tenth class and chose to cheat the gullible public by utilising the available modern technology. He was being remanded to judicial custody, police said. UNI
