Heavy rain likely to occur in Coastal AP in next 24 hrs: MET

Hyderabad, Jul 24: Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places of Coastal Andhra Padesh & Yanam during the next 24 hours and also on July 26, Meteorological Department warned on Wednesday.

In a bulletin here, it also warned that heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in Telangana from July 25, 26 and 27. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places at few places in Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam and Rayalaseema during the next five days.

Southwest Monsoon has been weak in Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam and Rayalaseema during the last 24 hours. Under its influence, heavy rain occurred at isolated places in Krishna district of Coastal Andhra Pradesh.

In Telangana, the highest maximum temperature of 36.4 degrees Celsius was recorded at Ramagundam , while the lowest minimum temperature of 22.8 degree Celsius was recorded in Medak.

In Hyderabad, the maximum and minimum temperatures stood at 33 and 24.4 degrees Celsius respectively, the bulletin said.

The highest maximum temperature of 36 degrees Celsius was recorded at Tirupati of Rayalaseema and the lowest minimum temperature of 23 degree Celsius was recorded at Arogyavaram of Rayalaseema , the bulletin added. (UNI)
