Visakhapatnam, Jul 6 : To fast-track approval process for incentive applications of companies operating in Andhra Pradesh, Minister for Industries and IT, Mekapati Goutham Reddy on Saturday launched incentive portal, ‘one-stop portal’, where companies can apply for incentives and also track the status of their application form submission status to disbursement stage.
Addressing on the occasion, Goutham said through this portal, the companies will receive auto-updates by SMSs or e-mails, on application progresses and it also provides IT companies with a plethora of ready to occupy space options to choose from and start operations.
The Government was committed to providing a conducive business environment marked by ease of doing business, lucrative policies and unparalleled support in attracting and facilitating and international investments with the objective of generating localized and rural employment, the Minister informed.
The state is focused on achieving the government’s mandate that at least 75 per cent of employment generated in the state should be local, he said and adding that the incentive portal is a step in the right direction so that companies will not be required to wait for incentive reimbursements indefinitely, thus creating a positive business atmosphere in the state.
He also stated that commitments to IT companies in terms of incentives, support, land allotment will be honoured subject to necessary checks and balances.The government is working to simplify internal processes to create a perfect plug and play model where companies can walk in and start operations within one week of their application, the Minister said and adding the government renewed focus to generating mass employment in rural areas, where companies will be encouraged to start BPOs in rural areas.
The Government intends to develop IT parks for encouraging IT companies in a plug and play atmosphere with specialised IT parks catering to NRIs, he also stated.
He mentioned that although lot of attempts to brand vizag as Fintech Valley have been made by the previous government, were not succeeded, however, the government is shifting its strategy, making the entire process hassle free and painless so that real Fintech companies with the potential to general high end employment can start operations in Vizag.
