Tirumala, Jun 22 : Y V Subba Reddy took oath as the 50th Chairman of the Trust Board of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) on Saturday.
Mr Reddy along with his family and others entered the temple through Mahadwaram. At the designated time of 1147 hours, he was administered oath by TTD Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal in the sanctum sanctorum of Lord Venkateswara.Later, TTD EO gave him theertha prasadams.
Speaking on this occasion, Mr Reddy said, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has appointed him in the coveted post as Chairman of TTD with a lot of credibility on him to safeguard the interests of millions of pilgrims visiting Tirumala.
"Our priority is providing hassle free darshan to devotees and ensure permanent measures that Tirumala is free from water scarcity", he added.Deputy Chief Minister Narayanaswamy, Local legislator B Karunakar Reddy and others were also present.JEOs Sreenivasa Raju, B Lakshmikantham, CVSO Manohar and others were also present.
