TDP leaders meet CS, urges for re-poll in 19 Polling booths

Amaravati, May 17 : Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders met Chief Secretary L V Subramanyam here on Friday and submitted a memorandum urging to conduct re-polling at 19 polling booths in Seven Assembly Constituencies in Andhra Pradesh.
The TDP leaders who met the CS were led by Ministers Devineni Umamaheshwara Rao, Kollu Ravindra, Jawahar and Nakka Ananda Babu.Talking to media later< Minister Nakka Ananda Babu alleged that the Election Commission of India has responded quickly on the appeals, made by the Opposition YSRCP in respect of conducting re-polling but ignored the pleas of TDP.

He said that they urged the Chief Secretary to send their representation for re-polling in 19 polling booths to the ECI. Referring the ECI’s decision to conduct re-polling in Chandragiri constituency in Chittoor district, there were no instances of conducting re-polling in a phased manner.

The Minister said that the TDP wants re-polling in some polling stations including 214 and 215 polling booths in Uppalapadu in Narasaraopet Assembly constituency in Guntur district, 78,130,131 and 132 polling booths in Rajampet constituency in Kadapa district, 21 and 244 polling booths in Koduru, 80 and 81 polling booths in Jammalamadugu constituency, 160,161,162 polling booths in Sattenapalli constituency, 301 and 311 polling booths in Chandragiri constituency.
