Hyderabad, Apr 11: Expressing his gratitude to the voters for coming in large numbers to vote in Andhra Pradesh, YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday night said that his Party is poised for a landslide victory going by the high percentage of voting.
Interacting with media here after concluding of lok sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh, Jagan said, that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu shown no grace in the retreat and tried his best to stall the voting percentage and find fault with everything around and levelled serious charges against the Election Commission.’
The high turn-out in the election will clearly give us a landslide victory and it seems that people have shown their choice in no uncertain terms, he said. Chandrababu has made many false claims and had resorted to theatrics which are clear indicators of TDP’s defeat.
The result should be a requiem to the five-year mis-rule as he had failed to fulfill all his promises and all sections of people were unhappy, he said. The last-minute schemes of Pasupu Kunkuma and Annadata Sukhibhava would not have worked as what he has given was a pittance when compared to what was actually due. The state scrapping the zero per cent interest had penalised the farmers and women groups immensely and the schemes were not a match to what they had paid or lost. TDP has resorted to violence in many places and many Party workers were injured in the attacks, he alleged and thanked all the cadre and leaders along with the voters who came in large numbers to take part in the democratic process.
