Pawan Kalyan to contest from two assembly constituencies


Jana Sena chief and famous actor Pawan Kalyan will contest the upcoming Andhra Pradesh elections from Bhimavaram and Gajuwaka constituencies.

The Jana Sena party, which will be making its electoral debut this election, has so far announced candidates for 77 assembly seats. Jana Sena has allied with the Left and the BSP in the state. It has allotted 21 Assembly seats and three Lok Sabha seats to the BSP. Seat-sharing talks with the Left parties are ongoing.

He made an extensive tour in Andhra Pradesh from September last year. In January 2018, he had toured Telangana. Months back, Pawan Kalyan and his jana Sena party made a big mileage through his widespread campaign for the special status for Andhra Pradesh state.

Recently, as a shot in the arm, former IPS officer V V Lakshminarayana, who handled several high profile cases in Andhra, joining Jana Sena party. The arrival of a true IPs officer was a morale booster for Pawan Kalyan. Lakshminarayana is likely to contest in the April 11 elections in Andhra Pradesh.
