Five YSRCP leaders quit to join TDP in East Godavari

Kakinada, Feb 28: Five important leaders of YSRCP in East Godavari district have announced their decision to quit the party and to join the ruling Telugu Desam.

At a press conference here on Thursday Chalamalasetti Sunil, an industrialist, who contested unsuccessfully twice for Kakinada Lok sabha constituency –once from Praja Rajyam and later from YSRCP- has said that he was quitting with the firm conviction that the state could be developed all round only under the leadership of Chandrababu Naidu.

He also said that his decision to Join Telugu Desam was unconditional and he would abide by Chandrababu Naidu’s direction. He said his self respect was hurt by the actions of YSRCP chief Jaganmohanreddy prompting him to leave the party.

The other leaders including Thota Subbarao Naidu son of former MP Thota Gopalakrishna and Mutyala Srinivas son of late Mutyala Rayudu who are known as strongmen of Jaggampet and Rajanagaram areas, Kampara Ramesh and his sister Kumary-both are Kakinada municipal corporators also blamed Jaganmohan reddy for belittling them setting aside the service rendered by them for strengthening of the party.
