Amaravati, Feb 3: Chief Justice of India Rangan Gogoi inaugurated the judicial complex and laid foundation stone for the construction of High Court building at Nelapadu village here on Sunday.
The CJI inaugurated the newly constructed judicial complex in which the High Court of AP would be housed till the permanent High Court building is completed. The judicial complex was constructed in 4.03 acres of land at a cost of Rs 173 crore.
The permanent High Court building of AP would be constructed at a cost of Rs 89 crore. The CJI hoisted a national flag in front the judiciary complex.
He also unveiled the portrait of father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi in the judicial complex premises.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Judges of Supreme Court N V Ramana, Lavu Nageswara Rao, R Subhash Reddy, Andhra Pradesh acting Chief Justice C Praveen Kumar, Chief Justice Telangana High Court T B Radhakrishnan, AP Assembly Speaker Kodela Shiva Prasad and AP Law minister K Ravindra among who participated at the inauguration and foundation laying ceremony.
